Last year, SHARE received just under £300 000 which is used to pay for ongoing recruitment, database maintenance and administration. Currently, a small cost is levied from research teams on a cost recovery basis to pay for postage and administrative time in contacting potential participants; however, a more sustainable cost recovery approach is foreseen.
